AI Bootcamp Workshop: OpenClaw—the open-source AI agent framework

On 2 April 2026, HSUHK Cloud Innovation School hosted an OpenClaw workshop at HSUHK, welcoming a full house of students for an engaging, hands-on session on AI agent development.

The workshop introduced OpenClaw—an open-source AI agent framework—and guided participants through building a personal assistant from scratch within a cloud environment, with an emphasis on developing the right mindset for secure and responsible implementation.

Students explored essential safety practices—responsible access management, secure configurations, and controlled testing—before designing, building, and validating their own chatbot solutions using real-world scenarios.

The workshop demonstrated CIS’s continued commitment to keeping pace with technological trends and bringing AI, cloud technology, and innovation-oriented learning opportunities to undergraduate students.
